Almost everyone knows, health is very important. If you are not healthy then you won't be able to work and/or do your job well. As the saying goes health is wealth. In order for you to be wealthy you need to work and perform well in your job, but for you to do that you need to be healthy.
When one is not healthy and they feel pain and unease in their body, they won't be able to concentrate and give the dedication needed in their job. That is why it is very important to watch out for your health for your own sake as your family's as well.
In the United States of America, people are very concerned about health. That is why of all the countries on earth we spend more money on health care programs than anyone else. Today you can find lots of different insurance options. One of these is health insurance. Some insurance plans are required by your state and some are not. So health insurance is required in some states, while others do not require policy.
The state of California has health insurance that is both run by the state along with private options. People who can't afford coverage or those who don't receive health insurance from their employer may be eligible to get assistance from the government programs. These programs may be free to those eligible participants, or they are offered for a low cost premiums. Here are some of the health care insurance programs in the state of California.
The Access for Infants and Mothers or AIM
This program provides low cost health insurance for pregnant women that is uninsured and who only have middle income. In this program the eligible women that can get this program will only have to pay for 1.5 percent of the annual income for the federal and California government will be the one to play for the remaining cost. However if you want to be eligible for this you must sign up before 30 week of your pregnancy.
Medi-Cal or the California Medical Assistance Program
Is to assist those people who have low income to meet the eligibility requirements. The eligibility will depend on the federal poverty levels. This program is to help improve the health status of Californians. They help fund hospitals and health clinic that are located on the underserved areas of California.
Healthy Families Program
In this program they offer coverage for doctor visit, necessary hospital care, substance abuse treatment, birth control, prescription drugs, mental health and some other including your regular immunization and annual health screening. Your eligibility on this program will defend on your federal income guidelines.
